Great Travel Photography! 5 Tips for getting better images. This video is a first step towards getting better travel images. I go over just five tips for creating images that do your trip justice. Over the years I have found it useful to focus on these five things and not just on the grand landscape or piece of architecture. Getting the essence of a place you are visiting involves photographing in different ways.

  1. Number 4, details is a big one for me. You are often "competing" with cell phone shooters that stand back with the built in wide angle to "get it all in", and they don't see the little bits and pieces that make up the scene. I love when reviewing photos from a multi person group to hear, "Wow, I didn't even see that." When shown some fragment of the overall subject.

  2. Kirk these images were all great. My tip for travel photography. If it’s not a photography trip but a trip with the family, travel lite. On family vacations I’ll often take an X-T30, the 18-55, 23 F2 and call it a day. I always come back with great memories. All fits in a small shoulder bag.

  3. Ken, always nice to listen to your thoughts on landscape photography” well received learned a lot even though I’ve been doing photography for a long time always nice to hear other people like yourself with your experience.

As you already know I was a wedding photographer for 54 years so didn’t do much landscaping it’s only now that I’m retired, I’m able to do and take pictures that I like to take, and I like your style. Thanks KenπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘
