It’s not safe not for women always. It’s NOT FREE when compared to safety being compromised. it’s not as shown on social media reels also.
Problems I faced are: bed not assigned and bed was assigned only to paying guests. Host moved my clothes and luggage into common area, I slept in reception on floor mattress which is open to outdoors 24×7 unsafe, and I used common washroom of other guests, hosts assigned dish washing chores which was not agreed prior. Unhygienic kitchen and mattresses. I wanted to do art installation as well but I was not given bed to sleep and I was always in reception area, my luggage is unlocked in public area. I cooked food and gave them food every day. My friend visited me, saw my toxic abusive situation and convinced me to leave. And especially the host and property manager are alcoholics asking you to sleep in their bedroom instead of assigning you dorm.
For example, VOLUNTEER YATRA failed to do justice after reporting very clearly. volunteer Yatra is very manipulative too. I gave them 45 days to collect facts and take action. Action is the abusive greedy hosts who didn’t follow Volunteer Yatra’s own policy are still supported by VY.
