  1. Or when you work for a corporate buisness and the suckups become friends with the boss and they get promoted regardless of someone else being more qualified or earning it with hard work.

  2. I did experienced the same situation as well. After putting in the amount of time and effort for the interview to get the role – I realise the gas lighting and mis match of information delivered to me during the interview. I stayed on for 6 months trying to give a shot but have noticed the situation won't change. Took a leap of faith and exit the job without securing one. It was tough but it was necessary to step away from wrong thing for a better long term growth. Stay strong for people have to go through this unfortunate situation.

  3. 1. Find your next job. 2. Submit your resume respectfully and briefly. "Thank you for the opportunity. The job is not a good fit for me." 3. Say as little as possible in your exit interview. 4. Enjoy your next job.

  4. Please I need help. Last February 2024 I had a breakdown from severe loneliness and being in a toxic job. I ended up ringing the police and paramedics. I was taken into the physc ward for 4 days and attended the day hospital 1/2 days for months it was a waste of time and I never benefitted from it at all. I ended back in hospital in September 2024 for 4 days. I tried several times to go back to the job but everytime I got so unwell again. Between September and today 29/5/05 I have being in hospital 3 more times. Last week I tried an overdose but thankfully it wasn't successful. I tried again after feeling well to go back to the job again 2 weeks ago. I ended up crying on the way home and being in bed for 4 days. I know now that job is over, just when your 53 single no friends or family, you keep trying to make things work thar just don't work especially when you have bills. Before all of this in February 2024 I was doing well. Unfortunately my mum took her own life in January 2021 the 8th. She was my best friend and my hero, we had a tough upbringing with my Dad's drinking so I moved back in with her for a number of years for company to do things for her and give her an amazing life. She was an amazing mother. I can accept she is gone the main cause of my anxiety/depression is lonliness and a toxic job. A connection with like minded people not looking for a relationship. I just hope I can get well 🙏  and make my 3 brothers my mum and myself proud.

Thanks for listening John 53 Ireland

  5. I just left a job for the first time in my life. It was killing my soul, yet they never asked why I was leaving. They assumed the company let me go, but I let them go, and they still acted like it was their decision. These people don't respect you, and they are not a good fit. If they really knew what you thought about them, they would have a heart attack. It was not worth it to me to tell them. It felt so good on my last day and I had a second job I was already making three times the money so I was set and it was so sweet to leave on my own terms.

  6. I’m on the opposite end of the spectrum. My boss is awesome but I hate my job. Sucks the life out of me. We also got a new CEO who made a lot of changes. None of which were for our benefit.

  7. Right now, I ended up on the wrong side of the Project Management head. So many factors going against me, that redeeming myself is close to impossible without giving 200% effort. So I decided to start looking for new job, while I still have my current work. Really hoping that by the time I read my own comment again, I would have moved on.

  8. I respect the no exit interview. Every job I have ever left begged me to stay and offered a counter offer after ignoring directly communicated issues and treating me like shit. Like that one notice email changes everything for them instantly, stick to your guns if I wasn’t shit before to you I’m not now. You need to work it out before the notice when you commit to something else you move on.

  9. Asking hard questions during the interview is a skill. Over the years working with toxic folks, I keep my radar on during interviews and look out for too good to be true words.

  10. I work at a warehouse, never missed a day, always early to work, the job title was Order Picker, yet I'm the only one doing heavy lifting at a "very" fast pace All day long. I did order picking twice in 3 months there, my accuracy and efficiency in productivity is known by managers and co workers to be outstanding, the co workers talk badly about others who are 20 feet away from them on a daily basis, then smile at them in the lunchroom. The manager yells at employees from 30 yards away, telling them to hurry up, it's super toxic, I'm 55 yrs old, go in with a positive attitude and leave with anger, resentment, depression, overly sore throughout every being of my body, sweat in my full clothing 3 times over throughout the day, and end up literally walking like a silverback gorilla from an aching back, all for a 10 hr day that pays $18 hr.
I'm visualizing a better job/career, maybe something new all together like Sales, Real Estate, or anything Customer Service, I enjoy people and providing a service to them that is beyond satisfactory.
I've done warehouse for over 10 yrs at different warehouses, the industry has taken a turn negatively in how hard working employers are treated or valued. It's very disgusting and sucks the life out of me.
Ready for a huge leap of Faith for something new. There's gotta be more! Got to be a better way to make money~
    Thanks for the video Dave!

  11. I worked in an organization with a high employee turnover… Almost every month there were people leaving and then they get replaced and the replacements also leave and the cycle continued. Problem was everyone left because of the manager and HR was not doing anything about it. Not even putting him on some leadership training… The unofficial response from HR was that the company had invested a lot in him (he was an expat earning big bucks) and thus could not just fire him without deriving any benefits from him, a sunk-cost fallacy if you ask me…After 18 months under that leadership i got fed up and left… It's harder to leave when you haven't got another job lined up but the moment you find yourself repulsed by people from the same country as the manager you can't stand, it's definitely time to leave.its not good for your mental health and for your professional life…

  12. Best finish carpenter in the company
    Most organized employee
Reinvested over 20k back into the company
Stayed working through covid even though I could have taken 600 more a week
Homeowners ask for me by name
My manager keeps me doing demos where I get sick from mold all the time. He also wants buttkissers.
He has already ruined a multi million dollar company from cheating with women at the office.
He steals, lies and cheats people daily. Hoq the fk do these people lead other people is beyond me

  13. I’m 29 and I work at McDonald as manager and I’m losing my mind. So toxic. Harmful. Verbal and non verbal. I’m quitting because I developed depression and I’m currently losing myself. I hope everything will get better…
