Bluehost is arguably the best hosting for WordPress, but is it easy to use? Are there any problems you can stumble upon along the way? Well, I’m Dainius from Cybernews, and I’m here to show you how to make a WordPress website that feels modern. Let’s start this Bluehost WordPress tutorial…

Bluehost WordPress Setup

Since I’m making this Bluehost WordPress tutorial for beginners, I will skip most of this setup to demonstrate how to have a fresh WordPress install. Since I already ran the initial WordPress setup, I can click the “Create site” to reach the same WordPress installation point.

If I want a custom email address, administrator name, or password related to this specific website, I can click here and type in these here. I would recommend doing that and saving this info just in case you need to log in without going through Bluehost. So, How do I add WordPress to my domain? Well, It’s the next step. Here, select the domain you bought in the previous step or add a directory name to create a WordPress subdomain. Finally, deselect all plugins. We can add them later on if needed.

Now a question you might have – Does Bluehost automatically install WordPress? Yes, that’s basically all I need to do. Now I just need to wait… and… that’s it my WordPress site is ready…

Bluehost WordPress Features

Bluehost is the best web hosting for WordPress, not only because of its ease of setting it up but also because of its features. How do Bluehost and WordPress work together? Impressively, the most useful thing is this little plugin from Bluehost. It allows you to manage different aspects without leaving WordPress.

You might first notice this little text at the top saying COMING SOON ACTIVATED. This means that external users would see this page instead of my website. It’s great when starting a project, but once done, I can click on this tab, select SETTINGS, then deactivate the Coming Soon option. Viola, my site is now live.

Talking about major changes to my website, I always first create a Staging site. A staging site is a copy of my website hidden from regular visitors. There I can make all the changes I want and then just merge the two versions. And I’m telling you this because you get this tool for free at Bluehost. To access it, go to Bluehost’s dashboard, click STAGING, and select CREATE A STAGING SITE.

Conclusion

Personally, I think Bluehost has the best WordPress hosting currently on the market. Setting up a WordPress website is quick and easy, even for complete beginners. It might not be the cheapest hosting provider, but all the WordPress features you get makes it worth the price.

  1. 🛑🛑🛑 Advice: Don't ask for support from their team, it's just a bunch of Indian boys who will mess with your site code and put codes in it to take visitors… I had a bitter experience with them

  2. This video is so misleading. It is SO not this easy at all. Let me first just say that Bluehost Customer service is awesome, but buying domain names and properly configuring the directories and installing WordPress on WordPress Choice Plus Hosting is beyond frustrating. it does not install wordpress automatically, you have to activated the SSL, point the DNS to your new website, etc etc etc. I always have to call to get it properly configured, but again, each time I call the customer service techs know what they are doing. But it is not as easy as this guy describes, not by a long shot

  3. I'm Samuel and a beginner on a budget. I want to buy the BASIC plan of Bluehost. If I pay for 12months subscription of $35.40, will I still need to pay for anything as I move further to build my blog website?

  4. dont get bluehost. they are spam

I made website and got everything from bluehost. They charged me like $50-100.

After one year, the charged me $500 for the website. host and domain. Now i canceled everything but could not get the money refunded

So Do Not Do My Mistake ..

  5. I’ve been watching tutorials on bluehost for WordPress yet my left side menu is completely different when I compare screens on bluehost. Maybe it changes monthly on menu choices but very frustrating…

  6. why when I click on a plan, for example the one for an online store that says it's $33 per year (if I want to pay monthly), then when I go to the checkout, even after I uncheck all the additional plugins, it still says $68? there's no box that is checked, I only want to pay for the plan that is shown initially and whenever I go to the checkout it's a double price

  7. Is there any way to transition away from BlueHost. They have been very challenging from the start. They keep sending me emails requesting 3yrs of hosting for over $500 but I cant log into my account.

They have sent me many many password reset emails and I go through the process only to get an error code. Each time I communicate via email, phone or chat they assure me someone is going to fix the issue but the problem continues.

I fear my account will be shut down for non payment

  8. Then can i ask after i click the template website that i want, did some changes but decided to continue later on, where can i find back my draft? I cant find it

  9. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE experience with BLUEHOST. Guys… these people are either inept or complete liars. I have been told by 4 different people that they will get my website. They can't get an SSL installed. They can't get a website live. I hosted multiple sites with them for years but have seen this company make a massive turn for the worse. DO NOT USE Bluehost

  10. I have needed to disable DNSSEC for over a week now, and this is how it's going:

I've had 3 separate people tell me that Bluehost was NOT my registrar. I had to go find out the Network Solutions was a sister company, and that is why it is listed on my Whois. I had to argue with people to convince them you were my registrar so we could move forward.

I was told Bluehost has nothing to do with name servers.

I was told Bluehost doesn't have the capability of disabling DNSSEC. That I would have to contact my hosting company.

I've been told twice that a supervisor was not available to me, and the second time was told that I would be put on a call list in order to speak to a supervisor. That supervisor never called.

When I finally did speak with a supervisor, she also did not have the knowledge needed to help me.

It seems to me that Bluehost does everything in its power to shield its client base from actual, knowledgeable tech support.

  11. The absolute worst support. The are untrained nasty agents. Chat takes 10 minutes in between answers and if you as the name of the agent, they will disconnect the call. There is no oversite on those idiots. Same goes for phone support. The make wait for an hour and then they make believe they can't here you and hag up.. Nasty people on every end.
