As Christians, is it biblical for us to meditate? The answer is yes, but there is a right way to do it and a wrong way to do it. In this video, I talk about how to meditate on God’s Word as a Christian, as well as things to avoid so we don’t fall into the trap of “Christian meditation” that borrows from Eastern religions and new age practices. Hope it blesses you!

Eastern meditation always felt very unnatural to me. It’s crazy that listening to my soft worship music in the morning and just putting my full focus on God has given me the stillness and peace I could never find with eastern meditation. With meditation, you have to have a single point to focus on and if that single point is nothingness, you will just get emptiness and nothingness. Well, what do you think is going to fill you? Be still, and know that I am God. We are meant to fill our minds with God. If your eye be single, your body will be filled with light. Doesn’t mean open your Third Eye means put your entire focus on God and you will be filled with light. When I was in the new age, I also was never able to be in the present moment, no matter how hard I tried and now it’s just a natural consequence of Christianity, because I’m no longer chasing after this fake carrot of enlightenment. I have found peace and stillness. I was never able to find with eastern meditation. It is similar bc gods presence is experienced in rest and focusing on him, not your own thoughts and worries. But it’s not the same as focusing on nothingness. God did not design our minds to do this.
Thank you
Christian meditation is great but I wanted to also do mindful meditation so that I get better focus while studying, reading, etc. I don't think this is sinful because it's just training your mind to be more focused.
I would say the way orthodox Christians “Meditate” is different since they don’t focus on themselves. They focus on God while repeating the Jesus prayer which is asking God for mercy, which does seem unusual, but to me, it doesn’t seem “wrong.”
Nope, the Bible says “take no thought”, “take no thought 5 times” meaning don’t think thus allowing in the knowledge of god.
thank you sir Amen to you
Great video, man. So enlightening. Thank you so much!
Impossible, no Kundalini
Even Jesus went to the Spiritual schools of Egypt, Tibet, India, China, and even England. He meditated all the time. How so you behind he was able to levitate over water? Jesus was a high ascended Master.
Meditation started with God Almighty, and now people are copying it everywhere and making their own.
my name is Lord, i dont study meditation , but i can meditate anytime i want,
How can this meditation of god's word reduces our social anxiety?
But how do Christian get relax? when you are tired but not sleepy?
Thanks!❤
So do you suggest any verses to what i can murmur under my breath whilst meditating?
I'm subscribing, Amen
I just would like to tell you, you seem such a sweet, inspirational soul and I love the energy— keep making an impact Jeremiah!
Luke 17:21
I love you Brother!!! have a blessed day
Thank you so much for this very informative explanation of how to meditate on the word 🙏🏾❤
Thank you for sharing that brother that helped me a lot. May God bless you. Have a good day.
Meditation has nothing to do with religion.
Who told you that??
It's just like saying that because you know how to do one particular thing that gives you finances, which means you wouldn't try another means of income??
Thank you for this, wonderful video!
You’re videos are wonderful and not overwhelming, thank you!
The begging is wrong. The meditations is about chakras is the way to talk to God. When God told Moises to place a serpent and to raise it on a pole. This is the serpent of kundalini raising in your body. This can’t be something physical as this would break the 2nd commandment. Don’t take an idol! So it had to be kundalini. When Jacob wrestled with God.
The translation is wrong he wrestled with angel. Something was weirdly mentioned his hip was dislocated. This would make sense if he was meditating for a long time in a sitting position. He called the place “peniel” that’s the pineal gland!
Salom temples is your body. In scripture is say the temple was built without noise or tools. That’s literally impossible unless it’s the human body. (The temple) we get a clue depending on the translation it said the middle chamber had (winding stairs) look it up and compare it to kundalini.
Revelation 5
Talks about 7 seals in the back that no man is worthy to open!
The 7 chakras are depicted in the back!
Maybe there as to be a second thought on this. Maybe we been lied to so our prayers can’t be heard. So many prayers yet kids and people die in Hospitals. Maybe we doing it all wrong lied to by the enemy’s!
I’ll say it’s wrong if you start chanting other God’s for me that included the Christian God! As I believe the Catholic Church changed all the names of biblical figures even the name of God.
Nice video
God bless you brother 😄
I believe in god. I am beginning to meditate. Those being said, meditation is not truly about "emptying your mind, deep breaths, and getting sent to some crazy spiritual realm" Sure some people do those, not all though. Meditation is actually sitting back to observe your thoughts and nothing more. So couldnt regular meditation be about god? Why do we need difgerent types if it us all the same, sitting back and pondering.

Really cool video. I'm glad people are talking about Christian meditation. We are all on the spiritual path, we come from Gods love and we are Gods love. There is no wrong or right way to do it, follow your heart and your soul and you will find what is right for you. I'd invite you to not be so hasty in separating the idea of enlightenment and God. When you empty your mind, there is nothing to separate you from God. There's just different words for the same thing, the ultimately words cannot capture. We just have to listen to the part of God inside of us.
