A lot of people are asking about the oscillating tool in the video. The one I use to cut a lot of things. This is it, my favorite tool ever! (affiliate link)

  2. Awesome bathroom. I would have foregone the glass doors, though. They are hard water stain magnets and miserable to clean. Stick to a shower curtain with a white liner. When the liner is yucky, throw it away and get another.

  3. I have the identical bathtub with some chipping in the coating. Would you mind sharing your experience with the sanding and recoating? And estimated cost of having that done? Don’t really wanna have to tear out our existing tile

  4. Just something to think about in the next one. Also over hang your water proofing past the tub and down to the floor a few inches. You stopped the wedi board and now have drywall right up against the tub. That area gets a lot of water. That’s why traditionally you see tiles past the tub.

  5. By tiling like that you will create voids behind the tiles. Water will get behind the tiles nothing you can do to avoid that. Last thing you want is voids for water to sit and pool.

  6. Only thing I will say is that you need to achieve 100% coverage in wet areas. You will not even get close to that by only notching the tile. Nothing wrong with notching the tiles but you atleast need to butter the wall with thinset. Same as the floor.

  7. Absolutely crushed it!!!! My man is an entire general contractor by himself. Very impressive. I’ve never seen someone cut purple board with a hand saw , but whatever works to get the job done. You are a legend, congrats on the master piece

  8. Dude, all the way up to the end I was like, "There is NO WAY he's leaving the tub like that." But I couldn't figure out why you never ripped it out. And then I thought you were gonna put one of those casings over it, but you weren't leaving enough space for that, and I started to worry. What you did is so much better. It was a perfectly good tub that just needed a new finish. Love your videos!

  9. i know its been out for three years just found you when looking for bathroom remodleing tips! Man I have a lot of work ahead of me in the near future!

  10. great job. couple comments. I would have changed out that bathtub too. And when painting, I would have masked the heater/toilet and anything else from overspray from the roller. (just extra work cleaning it off later).

  11. Holy Smokes🔥🔥 Weapons grade perfection🔥🔥

What was harder… the remodel or video editing?
Don't we need a GFI at vanity?
I liked the original mission styled wood door 26:04 compared to the poc raised panel composite.
    Glad you redid the tub.

Estimated Customer Cost for a job like this: $25k

  12. This was amazing to watch. I have one question. With the pipe you replaced. Did you have concerns for the rest of the pipe that goes to the city sewer/ septic tank?

  13. Thanks for the video! Very interesting.
I'm a total beginner to renovations. This might be a nooby question.
Why didn't you use floor leveling compound instead of shims in this case?
