✨3 simple Decluttering tasks you can do today for a clutter-free home! 🏡
If you want to declutter your house, do these 3 things!
1. Designated Donation Box 📦: Place an empty box in a common area like the hallway, whenever you see an item, you no longer love or, for me, feels overwhelming to maintain… drop it in there! 📦 As soon as its full, drop it off at your local donation center! 🚚
2. Closet Trash Bag 💼: Always keep a trash bag in your closet. 🗑️ Whenever you try on a piece of clothing that no longer fits, or you don’t like, drop it in there! 👚 This way you can keep up with constantly removing old items, instead of feeling like you have to go through them all at one time when its full! 👕👖👠 This gives you mental and physical space back for items you actually like! 👍
3. Having a close out routine 🚏: At the end of everyday create a 20-minute close out routine where you reset your home for the next day. ✅ This can include picking up all items and return them to their homes, tidying up your space, loading the dishwasher, wiping counters or anything else. 🧽 But returning your home to a state of peace at the end of the day will allow you to start the next day in a positive and refreshed mood! 😊
Remember that decluttering is a maintenance process. 👩🏼🔧 You cannot do it once and be done. ❌ Keeping up with it in these small steps will help you create a clutter free and serene home easily! ✨

Great tips. And yes it's ongoing.
thank you
Best way to declutter…. Don't freaking buy so many things that you need to ""donate "" , declutter!!!😔😔😔🤢🤢
Yeah, the real challenge is doin this with 6 other people. 😅
Ty ❤ great tips 💯
My problem is the bags dont make it to the donation center for like
.months…. or even longer. Then i go back through them to make sure 😩 its so weird..
Especially with kids clothes. Because i usually have the intention of passing them onto the cousins. Ugh.
Great 👍 tips !! AMEN God bless 🙌 🙏 you ❤️
unfortunately a lot of this is just encouraging overconsumption and waste. the vast majority of items donated to goodwill go right to the landfill, so be absolutely sure you cannot repurpose what you already have before trashing it. the main way to declutter is to reduce your consumption in the first place, and if you absolutely have to buy something, make the effort to get it secondhand.
Lock my bf in the closet when he messes stuff up would really make my home more serene😂
Wow that light wall is beautiful
Every soul in any home must do their part. Every. Soul.
I recommend The Minimal Mom too!!
I do it once every 10 years..😅
Good points!
The bag in the closet is so simple but so much better on me who gets overwhelmed thinking about the time it will take to go through my whole closet all at once—to put things in over time as I come across them is MUCH more doable. Thank you!!
Do NOT wad up clothing to send it to the donation center! It may very well end up in total garbage!
❤❤❤
Points 1 and 2 are what I like to call DROP ZONES! 🎉 It's helped me so much in my decluttering journey to actually make it easy to declutter
Yes! This really works!!!
This is good 🎉
I thought eventually the goal was to be done? If you’ve truly decluttered enough to be “done”, then it’s just a matter of not bringing any new items into your house until an old item needs to be replaced be sure it’s broken/worn out/ not fixable. I guess you could consider throwing away broken things to be decluttering, but it’s definitely not the same as having a lot of perfectly good stuff that you need to donate because there’s too much of it.
I wonder how You can have such an amount of clothes. Certainly not in my budget!
It always amazes me that people throw their cloths in a bag and then the volunteers have to take it out shake out the wrinkles and hang it up. For the nasty comments I will get, I fold my cloths and it takes no time at all.
I tried this and the boxes just keep stacking lol. It is easier for some to do but not for traumatized people.
Little thing for people who dont have the space for a regular size dishwasher but cant keep up with dishes for the life of them – they make tabletop ones. They're a bit pricey but it's working so well for me, I havent regretted it for a second.
Thank you
Yess
Remember that consumerism is the base of a cluttered home. Instead of trowing away perfectly good clothes do not buy them. Overbuying is at the end trowing away your time, and it is limited.
I love this video! 👏🎉 Subscribed 😁
LMAO: Missing from video: KIDS.
Good tips😊
I have never in my life had so many clothes 😅
I just had my second baby 2 months ago, and my home is cleaner than it was when I only had one kid. A clean home for me equals a clear mind so I definitely try to keep up with it. I've been tidying up at the end of the day, so my morning is less stressful.
I just decluttered my closet, and it feels so good. I'm definitely going to start the box idea to help with decluttering.
I do cleaning before going to bed. There is no joy compared to waking up to a clean home. 20- 30 mins before bed time is all it takes.
I've been doing the "place an empty box in a common area" for 7 years now- it works wonders! Quote to embrace: "You're not ment to fit your clothes, Your clothes are ment to fit you"
I need the cloth hander
Oh this is so helpful for those of us who dint have chunks of time for decluttering. I trytp keep garbage bags in all our rooms for donating items. I've gotten away from it. All of these channels talk about decluttering, but not many ideas how to do it. Thank you for sharing. Practical advice I can start doing today👍
20 minute closeout is a great idea! I do a “kitchen closeout” or “put the kitchen to bed” after dinner and the whole house closeout would be a great addition
20 min closeout sounds amazing. My close out is at least 45 min if I've kept up on everything because we live in a small-ish sized home with 4 children 🙂 when they are all out, my husband and I dream of barely having to close out at all because we'll be so good at keeping up with the considerably little bit of mess that he and I create
I love the 20 minute close out routine!! 😍
